Meet the 2010 Latin Grammy winner for best Urban Song - Mala Rodríguez.
Mala Rodríguez, also known as La Mala, is a Hip Hop artist from Sevilla, Spain. La Mala means bad girl in Spanish - and this woman is definitely bad ass! She has that Hip Hop attitude, while her strong flamenco influences in her music display her Spanish roots. She is a strong woman with a message, and often discuss issues such as poverty, racism, domestic violence, and female empowerment.
She's gained international recognition, with her song on the hugely popular Mexican film, Y tu Mamá También, as well as her collaborations with fellow Latino superstars Tego Calderon, Nelly Furtado and Calle 13.
And last week in Las Vegas, she won a Latin Grammy for her song, No Pidas Perdón.
This chick is fierce and this video is killer! Latin women in Hip Hop are killing it. Viva La Mala!
