Chillin' in Chile - Ana Tijoux

So nice, we had to blog her twice! Yep, we already posted another Ana Tijoux video on the blog back in April - but we LOVE her - so here's another one!

Ana Tijoux is a smooth, lyrically talented rapper from Chile. She grew up in France, living in political exile during Pinochet's dictatorship, but moved back to Chile as a teen. After immersing herself in the underground Hip Hop scene, rapping in both French and Spanish, Anita became famous in Latin America as the female MC of hip-hop group Makiza during the late nineties. Then in 2006 she broke off and went solo, and has been steadily blowin' up ever since.

How very Lauryn Hill of her...(haha) Although she reminds me more of a Ladybug Mecca...

A good female rapper is hard to find these days. At least one with a record deal! So enjoy this dope video from a dope woman - Ana Tijoux!
