There's a new sound that's been developing in Tanzania in the past decade, and it's called Bongo Flava.
Bongo Flava incorporates Afrobeat, Dancehall, and Hip Hop beats, with arabesque Swahili lyrics and some English phrases - all together to combine many aspects of the Global Hip Hop scene with a distinctly East African flavor.
